About Hogsback:
In all fairness, we need to warn you; This is not a race about fast times and personal records. It is about challenges and fun. If you are a spectator, you only need to walk about 1/4 mile to get a great view of the final river crossing for the Hogsback and the Piglet. Nestled in some fantastic scenery, the river makes for great pictures and video.
If you are a participant, definitely expect to get wet. You will want a change of clothes after the race. There will be warm soup, hot chocolate and full awards to go around. I recommend getting a friend or 2 to run this with you. If you concentrate hard and stay alert, you will stay on your feet and get some opportunities to splash around with friends.
In between river crossings is the toboggan hill. Although it is hard, it is not all that much more difficult than the other smaller hills. Well, maybe it is. But, you don't have to worry about falling! If you brought a friend, this is a good spot to crush their spirits by screaming "race you to the top!"
